Current Positions Available at TU:

  • TU Headquarters - Arlington, VA
TU is hiring a part-time data entry person (15-20 hours per week).
  • TU Headquarters - Arlington, VA
TU is hiring a Chesapeake Bay Coordinator for its Eastern Land Protection Project, a project created in 2008 to build partnerships with the land trust community to protect and restore land critical for eastern brook trout and other coldwater fisheries. The Chesapeake Bay coordinator will work throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed with a variety of partners, including TU's state councils and chapters, land trusts, state and federal agencies, landowners, local watershed groups, and other non-profit organizations.
  • Berkeley, California
TU is hiring a Staff Counsel for its California Water Project, a project created in 2002 to improve stream flows and water management in California. Trout, salmon and steelhead require clean, cold water to survive, but decades of mismanagement and neglect have caused all California trout and salmon species to decline. One of the major problems is a simple one: too many rivers have too little water. The California Water Project works with state and federal agencies to reform water law and policy and with individual farmers and landowners to restore and enhance streamflows.
  • Greater Washington, DC area
Thanks to generous support from Telos Corporation, TU is now seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to launch and coordinate its new Veteran Service Partnership program. This program will support TU's many local chapters and volunteers who are involved in programs that introduce wounded and returning veterans to the sport of fly-fishing and TU's conservation mission. Many pilot programs around the country have shown that fly-fishing is an activity ideally suited to helping some veterans and their families rehabilitate after injuries or simply adjust to their return after extended or repeated deployments. A key role of this new position would be to liaise with existing organizations that already deliver these types of programs including Project Healing Waters, Wounded Warriors and many other state and local organizations.
  • TU Headquarters, Arlington, VA
Through the generous assistance of the Wyss Foundation, TU is seeking a legislative fellow to expand our advocacy of effective strategies for protecting and restoring fish and wildlife habitat on public lands in the face of a warming climate, and to develop experience and skills that will enhance the successful applicant's career in natural resource conservation. This is a one year position.
  • Berkeley, CA
Part-time spring or fall semester or full-time summer law clerkships are available to law students with Trout Unlimited's California Water Project in Berkeley, CA.
