Beaufort/Hilton Head Island - St. Helena & Port Royal Sounds

Tip of the week

The higher water has fished the best with fish in the grass tailing. Low water is tougher with this dirty tannic water and the fish have a hard time seeing the fly so you need to use flies that are dark in color and have some size to them but don't land too heavy. Also when water is the dirty the fish are more on edge and spook to sounds and vibration so make sure you stay as quite as possible on the flats.

Seven-day forecast

Morning highs over the next 7 days, though not true flood tides, should still have some tailers on the edge and up in the grass.

Water is very tannic and dark in color right now, so the low water has been tough to get fish to see the fly.
