Trout Unlimited will host its Annual Spring Dinner Thursday, May 8, at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City. We are honored to present a Trout Unlimited Conservation Leadership Award to Oakleigh Thorne, father and son. The Thornes are the only father and son ever to serve on the executive team of the TU Board of Trustees, and they were both key figures in the growth and development of TU into the nation’s most effective trout, salmon and steelhead conservation organization.
Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on unique live and silent auction items at the celebration, including fishing trips to Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Chile, Spain, The Bahamas, Alaska, Argentina, as well as a few more specialized fishing adventures – among them fly fishing for mako sharks off the coast of southern California. There are some exciting meal packages, great fishing gear and a host of other items, as well.
Can’t make it to the event? Don’t worry, you can still bid on the silent auction items at our online auction site. However, you must be present to participate in the live auction.
There is still time to register and attend the dinner. Tickets are $500 per person, and include a TU membership. Other sponsorship opportunities and you can buy tickets online. If you have specific questions about the event, please contact Nancy Bradley, TU's national events coordinator.
We hope that you will join us in honoring the Thorne family, and we look forward to seeing you in New York.
