Black Earth Creek threatened

Dear Wisconsin TU Leaders and Friends:

As you know, researchers have confirmed the presence of New Zealand Mudsnails in Black Earth Creek, a popular trout fishing destination to the west of Madison. This marks the first discovery of this species in an inland Midwest trout stream, and we are all rightfully concerned.

The University of Wisconsin Extension system and the River Alliance of Wisconsin are hosting an informational meeting about this discovery on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2013, at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Cross Plains American Legion Hall, at 2217 American Legion Drive, in Cross Plains, WI 53528.

If you would be so kind, please alert your Chapter’s members about this meeting, so that they may attend if they desire.

Thank you for all that you do for Wisconsin Trout Unlimited.
