Dear Wisconsin TU Leaders and Friends:
Hard as it is to believe, it’s that time of year again where we start selling tickets and gathering up prizes for next February’s All-Council Banquet.
The 2014 Wisconsin TU Banquet will be held in Oshkosh. We had simply outgrown the facility in Wausau, and this was the largest, most cost effective venue we were able to locate.
The banquet will be on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel and Convention Center, which is located at 1 North Main Street, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The facility’s website is here.
As we have for the better part of a decade now, we are respectfully requesting once again that each chapter provide either $500 of cash, or prizes, for the event.
We recognize that this is a significant request from our Chapters, and it is sincerely appreciated. Because of the Chapters’ donations and increased attention on ticket sales, the banquet has gone from one which effectively “broke even” to an event that provides significant funding for the State Council (and which is, in fact, it largest single funding source). This could not have happened without the Chapters, and their leaders’ actions on the Council’s behalf. Your work and generosity is sincerely appreciated. If you can, please provide me with a list of prizes or donation amount as soon as possible. Having a list of prizes and donations early on makes for a significantly more effective banquet on the Council’s behalf.
Second, we need to sell tickets. Mike Kuhr, State Council Secretary, will be handling ticket sales this year. Mike can be contacted at email@example.com. In the near future, he’ll be sending out ticket packets to each Chapter. Please sell those tickets as soon as possible – early bird purchasers will receive bonus raffle tickets.
This year we’ve asked a lot of our Chapters, between various legislative items, the National Meeting, and volunteer efforts. As always, you’ve come through. It’s simply amazing, and I sincerely thank you all. Let’s keep the ball rolling, and have another great banquet in 2014.
Thank you for all that you do for Wisconsin TU.
