Take Action: Protect Your Heritage

Help to ensure that your children and grandchildren inherit the wild places that you enjoy. Arm yourself with the facts. Join with fellow sportsmen and women to make a difference, partner on local, regional and national issues affecting cold, clean, fishable water and your right to fish and hunt.

I have had numerous elected officials tell me that a few phone calls, emails or faxes from informed, concerned constituents grabs their attention. Trout Unlimited’s Action Center, the Camo Coalition and GEAN outfit you with background facts on important issues and provide an editable message to email. It’s as easy a three mouse clicks! Make a difference. Take action today.

Trout Unlimited’s Action Center helps you take action on specific issues and legislation by sending email comments to appropriate decision makers. Keep updated and speak out about local issues like protecting the Upper Chattooga River- A Congressionally Designated Wild and Scenic River, regional issues such as safeguarding Native Brook Trout in the Tellico River Area and national issues like Saving Bristol Bay.  Sign-up to receive free alerts.

Georgia Trout Unlimited partners with the Georgia Wildlife Federation to sponsor Camo Coalition® Alerts on coldwater conservation issues. The Camo Coalition® organizes sportsmen and women across Georgia to act quickly if there is an issue affecting our wildlife management or outdoor recreation interests. You’ll automatically receive sponsored alerts about coldwater conservation and trout fishing as a Georgia Trout Unlimited member. Join the Camo Coalition® to get alerts on warm and saltwater fishing as well as hunting issues. There is no charge for membership.

Georgia Trout Unlimited also partners with Georgia Conservation Voters to sponsor Georgia Environmental Action Network (GEAN) Alerts on environmental issues affecting coldwater conservation.  Just like with the Camo Coalition®, you’ll automatically receive Georgia Trout Unlimited sponsored alerts on coldwater conservation as a Georgia Trout Unlimited member. Sign-up to receive alerts on other environmental issues that may be of concern to you.

Find your elected officials with Project Vote Smart. Search for national and local elected officials using your address. Get biographical and contact information. See how they voted, positions on issues, ratings by interest groups and public statements.

See you on the stream.
