Trout Unlimited supports S. 3213, the omnibus public lands package containing over 90 important bills. Many of the bills in the package have been legislative priorities for TU over the past several years and now is the time to see that they are one step closer to being passed into law.

Ask the Governor to restore funding to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation in 2009. We need your help today to invest in protecting Virginia's open space, forests and water resources.

Congress must act to ensure that our children have opportunities to go outdoors and become environmentally literate citizens. The No Child Left Inside Act of 2007 (H.R. 3036 and S. 1981) is an important step in guaranteeing that our children and grandchildren are healthy for years to come, and that they are invested in continuing the work that we have started.

Please contact your legislator and support HR and Senate Bills which have strong provisions for healthy trout streams in West Virginia. We need your support today as these bills are under attack by a number of organizations and it is up to us to defend them as they move through the legislative process.

Current Michigan law prevents new large quantity water withdrawals from having an adverse impact to aquatic resources. New proposed legislation would re-define and substantially weaken the definition of “adverse” to allow reductions in fisheries, including our precious coldwater fisheries!
