Cimarron River

Tip of the week
Techniques

What a difference a couple weeks. Runoff is subsiding and we are just starting to see stoneflies! Also starting to see a few different mayflies. Mid morning to mid afternoon fish dries along the softer edges. In the riffles and deeper water add a BH nymph like a dark hare's ear, prince nymph.

Seven-day forecast

The Cimarron should really start picking up and fishing great now that we're seeing some stoneflies and mayflies. The Cimarron is a solid fishery throughout the summer with June typically being a fun dry fly time.
