Colorado River - Upper Colorado, Pumphouse to Grandy

Tip of the week

Nymphing has been the ticket in black, olive, brown and rust colors have been producing good sized fish. Pat's rubbers legs as a lead fly for a nymph rig has been doing really well Midges, BWO, caddis, Rs2's and stone fly patterns have been the flies of choice. Time to start throwing those small midge patterns, and sight fishing for actively feeding trout.

Seven-day forecast

Lower flows and some snow in the forecast means sight fish and expect those fish to be more lethargic in their behavior. Fishing has still been decent, there are still lots of hungry fish out there, they are just harder to get to eat, so be patient and take your time for a good drift!
