The WV/VA Monitoring Program is a state-wide network of volunteer stewards who monitor high quality streams at risk from shale gas development. As part of an effort to reach more remote streams a Watershed Snapshot Day event was held in West Virginia’s Monongahela National Forest.

At its annual meeting in Santa Fe in September, Trout Unlimited bestowed its highest conservation honor--the Ray Mortensen Award--on outgoing Chairman of the Board Jon Christiansen.

on the Rogue River, just 15 minutes from the shop.

Thanks to everyone who lended a helping hand Saturday and Monday to help complete phase one of building the chum and coho fish ladder system. Once completed, an additional FIVE MILES of spwning habitat will be accessible to the salmon!
