Wisconsin TU is comprised of 21 chapters, which cover the entire geographic footprint of Wisconsin. It has roughly 5,000 members who perform significant stream restoration, youth outreach, and Veterans service projects each year.

The 58-foot-wide concrete channel, which extends upstream to the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge, is severely deteriorated and its removal will allow stronger swimming fish — salmon, walleyes and even northern pike — to push up the river to Menomonee Falls.
