It’s All About Action: That’s the Sportsmen’s Conservation Project.

Throughout the West, our local SPC staff members are working with local hunters and anglers, representatives, businesses, landowners and industry to protect areas known for their quality big game and fish habitat. Our efforts are guided by these facts:

• Large tracts of intact habitat provide all the necessities for healthy populations of wild, native fish and trophy herds of big game.
   
• Undeveloped backcountry areas provide some of the most liberal and longest hunting seasons in the West. They also provide anglers the opportunity to combine great fishing with solitude.
   
• Protecting wild land and habitat today is essential to preserving our nation’s sporting heritage.

Trout Unlimited and the SCP believe the voices of hunters and anglers must be considered in any discussions concerning of the future of public lands. And that’s where you come in.
