Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Beginning in 2005 Trout Unlimited partnered with a private landowner, Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge, and Idaho Department of Fish and Game to improve irrigation efficiency and reduce fish entrainment on the Big Arm St. Charles Creek in Bear Lake County, ID. This project entails the installation of three screened water control structures to prevent migratory BCT from Bear Lake from being diverted out of St. Charles Creek and into irrigated fields during their upstream spawning migrations and downstream outmigrations. The project is slated for completion in 2009.
