April 2014 Chapter Meeting and Guest Speaker
Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm PDT
Please join us for our April chapter meeting, on 4/2/14, at 7 PM. Our guest speaker, Paula Piatt, will give her presentation, "Shared Habitat." This presentation focuses on the potential impacts of shale gas drilling and its associated construction activities on fish and wildlife habitats, and the sportsman's experience, as well as ways sportsmen can protect the habitat.
Paula, a PA native, works for Trout Unlimited as the Eastern Sportsmen Organizer. She is an avid fly-fisher and turkey hunter and graduated from Lock Haven University with a BA degree in journalism/media studies. Prior to joining the TU staff, she served as associate editor of New York Outdoor News.
A brief chapter business meeting will precede Paula's talk. We will provide updates on LLTU events scheduled for this Spring, including the Riparian Buffer Restoration project work days in May and the Youth Camp in June.
As always, we will be meeting at the Wildlands Conservancy, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus.
