The spring creeks of the SE Minnesota "driftless" area have 700 miles of trout water. Many of these creeks have had habitat improvements by the Minnesota DNR or Trout Unlimited. Most of them have angler easements and are readily accessible.
Trout Run Creek, mentioned in TU Guide to America's 100 Best Trout Streams, is said to have as many as 5000 wild trout per mile!
Mike Tipton will talk about how to get there, where to stay, where to fish, equipment, flys, etc. He has fished the area for many years and has led two NAFF outings to SE Minnesota. Mike is long time member of TU and past president of the North Arkansas Fly Fishers.
