May 8th is our last general meeting of the year. At the meeting we are going to have two programs. One will be a refresher on casting. We are having Donna Smith a IFFF Certified fly casting instructor. She works part time at the Yorktown Orvis Store and also help set up Orvis’s F101 and F201 classes. She also runs and works on several women fishing programs in Wisconsin and Michigan. She is a highly talent instructor in teaching casting. So bring a rod which you would like some help with on. Maybe you are having trouble with your regular cast or need some help on double haul or just have someone to take a look at your cast. And if you haven’t cast before and would like to try it Donna would be happy to help you this also. There will extra rods for your use. Good time to polish up on your cast. Then we will have PJ Smith who guides in WI talk on fishing the area around Viroqua, WI. This area is his primary area he guides. So he is very will verse on this area. PJ runs his own guide service, PJ’s Guide Service. The casting program portion will start at 6:30 pm next to the church, our usual meeting location, on the grass. Our meeting will start around 7:15 pm inside and then PJ will speak. Good night to get pointers on your casting and learn new locations and how to fishing the Viroqua area. You can talk to members to see what they will be doing for the summer. Hoping to see you the evening of May 8th. Again the evening will start at 6:30 pm at the usual location, the Church).
