Featured guest speaker Kiki Galvin will bring over 50 years of fly fishing experience to MDTU’s September 18th General Meeting. The owner of Ms. Guided Fly Fishing Services, Kiki is an accomplished casting instructor, guide, fitness expert, and conservationist. The presentation will focus on strategies to spend "More Time Fishing and Less Time with Equipment” and will include discussion of the streams on which she guides in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Kiki has developed a "Fitness for Fly Fishing" program, and will share fitness tips with us.
A Virginia resident, Kiki spends many days guiding in Maryland, and is frequently found on the Gunpowder. She serves as Vice President of the Northern Virginia Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and has been a featured “Stream Champion” in TU’s national publication, TROUT magazine. She is also a member and active in the Federation of Fly Fishersand International Women Fly Fishers. BothSouthern Living and Virginia Wildlife magazines have profiled Kiki, noting her love of fly fishing, and dedication to sharing her passion throughout the DC metropolitan area and beyond. Her guiding service Ms. Guided specializes in catch and release fly fishing for brook, brown and rainbow trout in the Mid-Atlantic region, promoting the motto: “Kiss More Fish!”
