Bill Barksdale with be our featured speaker this month. His overall topic is: Outdoor Photography. We will learn what he considers to be the six most important steps to improving one's outdoor photography results. He will share his 13 most favorite nature photography subjects in Arkansas and promises a little, undisclosed surprise created specifically for those who fly fish for trout in our home waters.
Bill Barksdale specializes in photographing agriculture and nature subjects. His work has appeared in farm magazines, on calendars, and in various forms of marketing communications, as well as juried exhibitions of fine art photography. Barksdale was born and raised in Fort Smith, Ark. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and an avid fly fisherman and fly tier. Bill and his wife Sandy, an artist, live near Cotter, Arkansas.
The Arkansas White River Chapter normally meets the first Monday of each month at El Chico’s Restaurant in Mountain Home.
Social/dinner hour is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meeting starts promptly at 7:00 and will last 60-90 minutes.
There is a small buffet of either tacos or enchiladas, with rice and beans. This meal will cost around $9.99 per person. You may also choose to order off their regular menu, or skip the meal. Cash bar.
