The W. B. Mershon Chapter's 51st annual banquet will be held on Friday, the 11th of April, at the Horizons Conference Center, 6200 State Street, Saginaw. Doors will be open at 5:00 p.m. for snacks, raffles, silent auctions, conviviality, and conversation; supper will begin at 7:00. We're happy to have Robert Thompson for our speaker. Rob is best known for his video productions on such topics as fishing the hex hatch, muskie fishing, and the anatomy of the Driftless Region of Wisconsin and Iowa. For us, he'll be describing and showing parts of "The River," his upcoming documentary on Michigan's Au Sable river, and snippets of "The Brothers Brown," and material on bamboo rod builder Bob Summers. Tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for young folks under 18 years of age, and checks made out to the W. B. Mershon Chapter may be sent to P. O. Box 6920, Saginaw MI 48608-6920.
