The White River Partnership is harvesting live willow stakes on Sunday, April 6 from 1-3pm. The event is at Hurricane Flats Farm in South Royalton. Here is a google maps link for directions: http://goo.gl/maps/NG9B6 Please dress to be in the snow and mud. The WRP will provide gloves and a few loppers. If you have your own lopper, please feel free to bring it. Some of the willows are on an island, so if you have waders feel free to bring them too. The willows are native shrubs that grow along rivers. Live, dormant stakes, 18-20” long, can be pounded into the riverbank where they will root and grow. The willows are for restoration projects on the White River and a TU project on Lulls Brook in Hartland.”
