
On Friday, September 21, we will leave the resort at 1p.m. and we will tour the Carpenter Ranch, a working cattle ranch operated by the Nature Conservancy. The ranch is a tribute to the preservation of the natural and agricultural heritage of the Yampa River Valley. Today, the Conservancy manages this property as a working cattle ranch to explore ways to simultaneously pursue agricultural production and the conservation of streamside and wetland habitats.
We will return to the hotel by 5 p.m.
Guided Fishing Trip Information
On Saturday, Sept. 22, attendees have the opportunity to spend a half-day or full-day on a guided fishing trip through the Steamboat Flyfisher fly shop. Depending on fishing conditions, it's most likely that fishing will occur on the Yampa or Elk rivers. There may be opportunities to fish on private water may be available and additional fees may apply.
