Fished the Humbert DHALO section of Laurel Hill Creek on Monday. The fish were stocked, but not well spread out as the only place I managed to find fish was near the walking bridge at the top of the section in the state gamelands. I did talk to a guy from West Virginia who said he had seen a nice pod of fish a ways downstream, but I did not venture into the posted property to continue the search for them. Fish were eager to take flies though. I caught roughly a dozen, and witnessed several others caught. The pattern that seemed to be working were small beadhead pheasant tail nymphs. I was drifting the BHPT nymph on a dropper about 3 feet underneath a Royal Wulff. All fish were standard stocked fish, with sizes from 10-14 inches.
