The Mouth of the Montreal River is open all year for fishing. The river forms the boundary between Wisconsin and Michigan. A valid fishing license from either state allows you to fish the river. Spring time brings the Steelheaders down the steep trail to the rivers edge. The stream is a short run of a few hundred yards up to Superior Falls, where the trout are unable to get pass. There are a variety of fish species available from steelhead, browns, pinky's, muskies, walleyes and bass.
