Have two rods rigged, one dry and one wet. For your dry, try a single adult damsel (8-12) or a single Goddard (8-10) with the option of dropping either a P.T. or zebra midge off the dry (16-22). Keep it short, 2.5' and we run 5x fluoro.
Sight fishing along the shores (even if they aren't looking up) works well. They are still feeding on Damsels but they are liking a little move movement, try skating your Damsel.
We are coming into a cool down this weekend and well into next week! We are very happy about it! Georgetown fishes best on hot, clear days so this week may not be a great option. Lots of rain in the forecast, thunderstorms, and highs in the 70's. The rivers would be a better option until it clears back up.
Fishing has been good up there and Phillipsburg is booming, new brewery in town!
Stop by our shop, Flint Creek Outdoors, in Philipsburg for the most up to date fishing reports. 406.859.9500. We are open 8am - 5pm every day of the week thru September.
