  • Resolution Concerning Bylaws and Policies Adopted by the Board of Trustees – 2011 (A resolution explaining that any action taken by an employee or volunteer that violates any of the bylaws or policies adopted by the Board of Trustees is unauthorized and not binding on TU.)
  • Policy on Financial and Property Controls – 2016 (This policy sets out several requirements and recommendations to help officers and directors safeguard TU funds and other chapter and council assets.)
  • Litigation Policy – 2023 (A process for chapters, councils, and staff that are considering entering into legal actions such as lawsuits, appeals, a notice of intent to sue, and certain administrative proceedings. The process helps to ensure that the national office and volunteer leaders are aware of and approve potential litigation before it is filed and ensures that filing decisions are made using consistent criteria
  • Contract Review Policy – 2013 (A resolution concerning a process for reviewing proposed chapter and council contracts involving uninsured or excessive risk.)
  • Gift Acceptance Policy Guidelines and Procedures – 2023 (TU’s policy guidance for determining whether and the circumstances under which a gift will be accepted by TU and its councils and chapters.)
  • Guidelines for Working with Youth – 2015 (A document that outlines the best practices and some requirements for TU volunteer leaders and staff working with youth.)
  • Sexual Abuse Policy – 2009 (This policy lays out that TU will not tolerate any form of sexual abuse and it details how to report incidents of sexual abuse.)
  • Anti-Harassment Policy – 2018 (TU has a longstanding commitment to a culture that respects the dignity and worth of each individual. Inappropriate behavior and unlawful harassment create conditions that are wholly inconsistent with this commitment. The purpose of the policy is to foster an environment that is free from all forms of harassment, whether that harassment is because of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.)
  • Illegal Substance Policy – 2018 (This policy relates to the prohibition on the use of marijuana at TU events and accepting donations originating from the marijuana industry.)
  • Operating Procedures for Early Chapter Development – 2011 (A resolution concerning the development of sub-chapters and converting them into chapters.)
