Stanford, Montana, August 31 - September 4, 2013
Montana offers some of the best wild upland bird hunting and trout fishing in the lower 48 states. On this trip you will spend your mornings hiking through a mosaic of grasslands, shrubby coulees and creek bottoms, and timbered slopes hunting for wild Sharp-tailed Grouse and Hungarian Partridge. PRO Outfitters has exclusive hunting leases totaling more than 170,000 acres near the Highwood Mountains east of Great Falls and offers one of the most spectacular and authentic wild bird hunts. Guests will hunt in groups of two and have the option of hunting behind PRO's top-notch pointing and retrieving dogs or bringing your own. In the afternoons you will wade fish freestone creeks and rivers, such as the Judith, explore Montana's largest spring creek—Big Springs Creek, or possibly float the Missouri River, in search of wild rainbow and brown trout. The accommodations at PRO's beautiful new lodge are luxurious and you will feel spoiled by the first class meals that might even include the game you have harvested. This 4 night 3 day trip is a wonderful opportunity to share time in the field with good friends.
