Madison River - Between Quake Lake and Ennis

Tip of the week
Techniques

Small mayfly nymphs trailed behind sculpins or stoneflies have continued to be most effective. Dry fly fishing has been good at times with blue winged olives. Small attractor dries, hoppers and ants are also still working at times. Streamer fishing is improving, and is generally better on cloudy days.

Seven-day forecast

Warm fall weather in the forecast. Some clouds later in the week should make the baetis hatches better.
