Position Summary

Trout Unlimited is seeking a highly organized individual with superior attention to detail to fill this full-time, entry-level position. The Direct Marketing Production Assistant will work to ensure accurate and timely implementation of TU's direct mail and online fundraising efforts. This job offers the opportunity to learn or build on an existing base of direct marketing and/or fundraising experience while supporting an organization with a great mission. Day to day responsibilities will include proofing data and copy, coordinating printers and mail shops, preparing detailed spreadsheets, and coordinating back-end fulfillment requirements with TU's member services team. Stand out candidates can look forward to also helping to manage data, track costs and revenue, analyze results and develop strategies with an eye toward growing the TU membership while increasing member retention and revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and adhere to busy mail schedule.
  • Provide proofreading and quality control for all direct marketing communications.
  • Review data and printed/online material as well as assembled packages for accuracy.
  • Set up campaign reports, create and maintain detailed spreadsheets, and set up processes for fulfilling gifts and acknowledgements.
  • Manage inventory, purchase orders and the coding of invoices.
  • Other tasks and special projects as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Superior organizational, planning, and proofreading skills.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail a must.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
  • Experience working with databases and/or fundraising a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Fishing experience is not required, but a love for the outdoors is a must.
