On May 12 Tim Yeager and I took advantage of the fundraiser donation from Unicoi Outfitters to fish the trophy trout section of Nagochee Bend in Helen for the day.  Above is a picture of Tim landing a nice rainbow.  We had a blast!  The weather was good and the rainbows cooperated pretty well.    [ READ MORE... ]

During the weekend of April 17 UCCTU Treasurer Roy Gingrich and I had the opportunity to attend the Regional TU meeting in Asheville.  Above is a picture of attendees from all chapters in Georgia.  It was good to see Georgia Council Chairman Carl Riggs in one of his first outings since his heart [ READ MORE... ]

We had a good turnout at Jones Bridge for Sweep the Hooch last Saturday.  It was a beautiful morning and, although the water was still high and a little discolored from recent rain, conditions for the cleanup were good.   We collected trash along the river from well above Jones Bridge to below the [ READ MORE... ]

I first had the pleasure of meeting Mike when he camped next to me on the UCCTU Fall Trip in Brevard, NC.  After kindly lending me a fuel cannister to finish cooking breakfast, we fished the Davidson River together and enjoyed a pleasant weekend full of friends, flies and fish.
