Early Season Midge Hatch

Early Season Midge Hatch

I hit a brief, but very thick, midge hatch yesterday on the East River here in the Colorado Rockies. I saw heads and noses and swirls all over the place. It only lasted about 30 to 40 minutes, but it was heaven. Winters are about 6 months long here and this was the first dry fly action of the year. It was great fun! See more on my blog
