Trout Unlimited: On the Rise

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Trout Unlimited's television program On the Rise airs on Sportsman Channel this spring and summer.

The show will air at the following times:

Tuesdays at 11:00 p.m.

Fridays at 8:30 a.m.

Saturdays at 2:30 a.m.

Sundays at 2:30 a.m.

The show's 13 episodes will highlight places where TU is working on rivers and streams around the country. This season, the show will take you to Bristol Bay, Alaska, where a proposed open-pit gold and copper mine threatens the world's most prolific salmon fishery. On the opposite side of the country, the show visits the Delaware River--which proves to be as challenging for host Frank Smethurst as it is for the many anglers who regularly fish its waters. In Colorado, Frank visits the Animas River and is greatly rewarded for his efforts there. Other shows include winter steelhead fishing in Washington state, brook trout fishing in Maine and backcountry fishing in Wyoming.
