Grassroots group proposes Wilderness designation

Jim Jeffress, backcountry land coordinator for the sportsmen’s conservation project spearheaded by Trout Unlimited, approached the Humboldt County Commission well over a year ago with a proposal to start the governmental process of asking Congress to remove the Wilderness Study Area (WSA) designation for Blue Lakes and Alder Creek.
