The first edition of Trout magazine was Vol. 1, No. 1 published in Winter 1959 and it had a picture of George Griffith in a drift boat, fly rod in hand, on the Ausable River.
Trout is a quarterly magazine published 4 times a year. It is regarded as "The Journal of Coldwater Fisheries Conservation."
