This wine is named Steelhead to honor the wild trout that return each year to spawn in Wine Creek, which flows through Quivira Vineyards. TU has worked extensively to restore this important Northern California watershed, which feeds directly into Dry Creek. In acknowledgement of these efforts, a donation is made to TU for every bottle of Steelhead sold.
Steelhead expresses Quivira's passion for two Dry Creek Valley traditions: making the finest wines possible and wise stewardship of the land. Much of the fruit that goes into their Steelhead wine comes from Dry Creek Valley, an area known for some of the best Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc in North America. Their vineyards follow sustainable farming practices resulting in better wines and a better world.
To purchase Steelhead and Quivira wines and support conservation, visit the Steelhead and Quivira websites to inquire about distributing stores in your local area.
