The Nocturnal/Mutant Stones are tapering off. Try skating a Chubby Chernobyl off the bank in the early morning hours. Dry fly fishing on slower slack water areas, seams and some flats and riffles is still a good bet with leftover PMD imitations, Mahoganies, and Baetis. Streamer fishing will produce some surprises on cool, rainy days. Nymphing has been the most productive method on the top half of the river with small rubberlegs and mayfly attractors as go-to flies.
Summer river traffic is slowing down, fall is in the air and fishing will be incredible for the next couple of months.
