An unprecedented coalition of sportsmen have come together to call on Congress to enact responsible oil and gas development policies. Sportsmen for Responsible Oil and Gas Development includes the National Wildlife Federation, Trout Unlimited and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. In a comprehensive document, the Sportsmen for Responsible Oil and Gas Development explains the concerns many hunters and anglers have with the rapid pace of energy development in the West and offers common sense solutions to Congress that they hope will become federal policy. The Sportsmen for Responsible Oil and Gas Development calls on Congress to increase financial resources to state and federal fish and wildlife managers, increase public involvement, put in place protective measures of the most important fish and wildlife habitat and to ensure the protection of both water quality and water flows. Some of these solutions are already being considered in the 2007 Energy Bill. Now you can join the campaign to bring balance back to public lands drilling and help ensure that our public land hunting, angling and conservation heritage is kept intact for future generations. Please endorse the agenda today.
