Help protect small headwater streams
When you donate to the Board Match Challenge, your gift will go twice as far making 2016 another year of big wins for native and wild trout and salmon. Help turn $500,000 into $1,000,000 for conservation.
Hahns Peak Lake, a small, serene lake tucked into the mountains of northern Routt County, Colorado, offers a beautiful place to camp, hike and fish for native cutthroats and rainbows. TU's goal at the lake is to increase angling opportunities for youth and special needs recreationists.
TU is helping to construct a handicapped-accessible shoreline trail and fishing piers that will make more of the lake accessible.
This project will expand opportunities for special needs recreationists and is expected to contribute up to an additional 1,500 recreational angling days per year.
