I grew up fishing obsessively for striped bass along the Connecticut coast; Earned a degree in forestry from Paul Smith's College in the Adirondacks of northern New York; Served in a Marine Corps Force Recon unit; Earned a degree in journalism from the University of Montana, and have worked for the U.S. Forest Service and several wildlife conservation organizations. I served two terms as President of the Montana Wildlife Federation and am currently the California Communications Director for Trout Unlimited.
