The bulk of the dry fly activity is taking place very early in the morning, or in the evening just before it gets dark. Nymphing the fast water during the day can be productive even when the sun is shining bright...as long as water temperatures remain below 70.
We've had a couple of hot days which made the river too warm to fish in the afternoon/evening, but the morning fishing was still pretty good. Things should cool down a bit the next few days and that will help. Water is at a normal low level for this time of year. For daily updates head over to our website and check out our fishing report.
