TU Annual Meeting Fishing Day Information!!!

Dear TU Annual Meeting Anglers,

We’re excited to be hosting you in Bozeman on Wednesday, Sept. 28 for a day of fishing! We have dozens of local volunteers from the Madison-Gallatin and other local chapters, TU staff and others preparing to take you out for a great day of fishing on some incredible streams. T

We wanted to share some important information to help you prepare, below is a list of details you’ll want to know:

1)      All anglers will meet their hosts at The Element Bozeman at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28. We will have fresh coffee brewed, breakfast bars and fruit, water and a boxed lunch for you to take with you. Once you are connected with your hosts and fellow anglers that morning, you’ll head off together for your specific river. Most of you will carpool to the river with your host.

  1. The hotel address is 25 East Mendenhall Street, Bozeman, MT 59715

b.      There is parking across the street from the Element or you can leave your vehicle at your hotel and walk the short distance to the Element (See attached map)

2)      Buy your Montana Fishing License in advance! It’s going to be a hectic morning and you can help avoid delays and make sure everything’s ready to go by buying your MT license online here in advance.

a.      A license purchased online must be printed out and carried with you on the water.

3)      Dress for the weather – all of it! Montana at the end of September can be beautiful and sunny or cold, windy and rainy or snowy. Be ready for all conditions with foul weather gear, layers and more. Click here for a comprehensive gear and clothing description including rod and equipment recommendations.

4)      Join other anglers and TU meeting attendees for dinner! For those planning to come back to town after fishing, there will be a no-host dinner from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at Montana Ale Works at 611 E Main Street. It’s sure to be a fun time.
