Blue Sky Furled Leaders offers free leaders to guides

In the same boat

The best teams are those that are greater than the sum of their parts. So it is with all of us in fly fishing. We’re all part of the same team, and each of us can do something to help all of us. That’s exactly what Nathan Register thought, as he saw the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic slowdown developing. So he came up with a simple thought: Why not offer free leaders to guides?

Nathan and Rebecca Register own Blue Sky Furled Leaders in Pulaski, Wisc. They love the outdoors. Nathan grew up fishing the saltwater marshes of the North Carolina coastal region and has had a rod in his hands all his life. His love of fishing has taken many paths, from deep sea fishing the king mackerel tournaments to living in the Lake Tahoe region chasing trout in the High Sierra. Rebecca is a Wisconsin native. These two met in the military and have been married for 25 years. They have two beautiful daughters.

“We want people to enjoy the outdoors as much as we do, and we know that the front lines of the outdoor industry are the guides. So we’re offering free leaders to guides who contact us,” says Nathan. Blue Sky Furled Leaders has been crafting furled leaders since 1999. They’re hand-woven from over 90 feet of premium nylon, providing legendary performance. All of our furled leaders are pre-looped to attach to the fly line using a simple loop-to-loop method.”

These are difficult times. This pandemic has all of us on edge. Millions of us are under lockdown. Millions more are isolating themselves and practicing social distancing, limiting their personal contact with others. It’s a global pandemic, and it’s serious business. In communities across the U.S. and around the world, we’re all experiencing it. This is a time for us to support each other. After all, we’re all in the same boat.

Thanks, Nathan and Rebecca. You guys are the real deal.
