Fly Fish West Virginia, Inc.

About Us

Fly Fish West Virginia provides professionally guided, multi-day trips to some of the most beautiful streams in the Monongahela National Forest, preferably in search of Native Brook and Wild Rainbow Trout. All trips are turnkey and tailored to the client with respect to physical ability, experience and interests.

We provide all the clean, quality ultralight tents, sleeping pads/ bags, meals, water, beverages (limited for backpacking), warm fires, maybe some banjo, guitar and or harmonica. The client brings clothing and their tools of the craft. The elements of weather are a factor in the mountains. We will assist the clients in preparation, to make sure everyone is comfortable on their journey. Hank and Waylon, 2 year old brothers, English lab and Texas Healer bloodlines are great companions and will accompany us on most of our outback trips. They love the outdoors, people and help keep the big fuzzy critters away. They carry their own packs and sleep in the guides tent.

What we do

The company was founded on the idea of seeking rare, elusive Native Brook and Wild Rainbow Trout. Additional preparation and planning are required for these multi-day backpacking trips, as distance, time and weight become important factors to discuss. There are many beautiful stocked streams( rainbows, brookies, browns, goldens ) with great drive in rustic campsites. It is up to the client to let us know if they want to chase size and quantity or history. We plan to carry the packs and set up the camp, so the client can focus on fly fishing, while enjoying the natural beauty of West Virginia. Chuck is CPR, AED, FIRST AID certified and safety oriented. We will assist with travel arrangements upon landing for out of State clients flying in to Pittsburgh, PA or Bridgeport, WV. We will provide lodging and meals, the evening prior to departure for the Monongahela National Forest. We will discuss the details of our journey over dinner, take care fishing licenses, get a good nights sleep and head out at or before dawn.
