Getting started

New Brand Guidelines Are Here

Written by Joel Johnson

So far we have trained over seventy five volunteer leaders at TU on the new TU brand guidelines. In August and September through two webinar workshops, volunteers received detailed instruction on how to apply the new brand assets – namely the new national TU logo, and guidance on incorporating the new visual identity in their own communications. Attendees of the TU Annual Meeting in Scranton, PA will also receive similar instruction during the TU Brand workshop, Friday, Sept. 18 at 3:45 p.m.

Volunteers can download logos, get detailed guidance on fonts, and the brand guidelines here: http://www.tu.org/trout-unlimited-logos. You must have a username and password to the TU.org to gain access to the web page. Those members interested in viewing the TU Brand Guidelines workshop can watch the hour-long video here.

At TU National, we’ve rolled-out the new visual identity org-wide – starting with the May Life campaign, Griffith Circle and Calendar campaigns. TU.org, TROUT magazine, and The Complete Angler newsletter, and all social media and outbound marketing has been updated. So what’s next? TU will be updating its monthly newsletter to all TU members with a new look and feel in September. The new newsletter will be called The Release. The Release is completely mobile-enabled so you can view it on any smartphone. Posts will start in the newsletter and continue on TU.org, and feature a “send to a friend” button for sharing.

Also be on the look out for new program logos. We have created new logos for Embrace-A-Stream, Angler Science, Veteran Service Partnership, Volunteer Leaders, and over two dozen chapters. As shared in previous communications, Chapters have threeoptions, 1) if you like your current logo – keep it, 2) if you want a modified logo with the new logo and your current chapter logo, we can design it for you, 3) if you your chapter would like a new chapter logo, we’ll design it for you upon request. Please contact Rob Shane rshane@tu.org to get on the list! Media should reach out directly to Chris Hunt, TU National Communications Director at chunt@tu.org for logos.
