Shoshone River

Tip of the week
Techniques

North Fork Anglers recommends fishing wets (bead heads or soft hackles) or streamers until the blue winged olives and midges become active around noon.

Seven-day forecast

Ambient temperatures will be in the 20's and 30's through the weekend. Some light snow expected but not huge quantities. The hatches will be occurring regardless of air temps. The river temps are 52 degrees as of this report.

We are also guiding fly fishing Float or Walk/Wade Trips for 2018, despite the frosty conditions. The fishing has been spectacular through mid-January. We expect the fly fishing to just get better and better as the days get longer this winter.

Book a guided trip and experience the lower Shoshone or Bighorn fishery for yourself!
