2017 Southeast Regional Rendezvous

April 21-23, 2017
Gatlinburg, TN

In the heart of Southern Appalachian Brook Trout country, the Great Smoky Mountains are home to some of the best fishing on the east coast. As with all great fisheries, there is always a heightened need for sustainable and long-term conservation efforts. We couldn't imagine a better location than Gatlinburg, TN to host this year's Southeast Regional Rendezvous. 2017 Southeast Regional RendezvousOn behalf of the Tennessee Council and the Great Smoky Mountain Chapter, you are invited to join fellow anglers, conservationists, and industry professionals for a weekend of enlightening conversations, seminars, and fun as we talk future conservation efforts in the region and ways to make your chapter's or councils stronger than ever.

In keeping with the tradition of TU regional gatherings, we will have a hosted fishing day on Friday, April 21 where you'll have the opportunity to hike, hop, or even scoot your way up the mountainside chasing beautiful brook trout in an equally stunning setting.

Saturday and Sunday the 22-23rd will include all day conversations with fellow TU members and local conservation professionals where we will discuss topics from diversifying membership, habitat restoration, building defenses against a changing climate, contemporary membership engagement methods and dynamic fundraising, to name a few.

Saturday evening's barbecue is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to network with fellow TU members, supporters and staff and to take in the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains.

These gatherings are an excellent opportunity for your chapter to share unique success stories and issues that you've encountered over the past year. It's also a great chance for new and upcoming chapter and council leaders to be inspired and discover their own voice while learning from seasoned volunteers and networking with conservation professionals.
