Based in the Finger Lakes region of New York, Katy oversees TU's Eastern Shale Gas campaign and work closely with state councils and chapters to coordinate advocacy efforts to protect native and wild trout populations and their watersheds from shale gas development impacts and other threats. Katy represents TU on a number of conservation coalitions and is currently a member of the Natural Gas Advisory Committee for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. She has also participated in the State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations for Pennsylvania.

Paula works with sportsmen's organizations in the Delaware River Basin states of Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey on eastern shale gas issues and other state-level issues relating to coldwater conservation in those states. As part of her education and outreach work, she visits sportsmen's clubs and TU chapters with presentations that highlight the latest TU conservation efforts and encourages all sportsmen to learn more about fish and wildlife habitat issues. Paula also coordinates the Sportsmen Alliance for Marcellus Conservation, a coalition of more than 280,000 sportsmen and women working together to identify and mitigate impacts of shale gas drilling in the eastern shale region on hunting, fishing, trapping and other outdoor sporting activities.

Jake manages volunteer water quality monitoring efforts focused on identifying and addressing potential impacts from shale gas development. Through the Pennsylvania Coldwater Conservation Corps and the West Virginia and Virginia Water Quality Monitoring Project, Jake trains and supports a network of grassroots volunteers who serve as the eyes and ears on the ground, collecting water quality monitoring data and performing visual reconnaissance in the shale gas region of Central Appalachia.
