Be a champion for your river. Volunteer locally.

TU champions roll up the sleeves and get their waders wet. Cleaning up streams, building restoration projects, and engaging in stewardship is a great way to spend a day on the river and make friends in the community all while making an impact.

Tell us where you are and we’ll send you volunteer opportunities close to home.

“There’s nothing like being on the water with people who care. Volunteering with TU makes me feel part of something bigger.”

— Jerome S., Montana volunteer

Each year, TU members contribute more than 650,000 volunteer hours working together to make local streams cleaner, colder and healthier. Connect with your local TU chapter to get involved in their ongoing efforts or to bring new ideas, passion and skills to the table.

Whether you want to get your hands dirty planting trees or picking up trash or your waders wet conducting important community science and monitoring projects join your local chapter, committee, or board. There are so many opportunities to make a difference.
