About Us

Our mission is to help anglers get the most out of every day on the water, teaching proven fly fishing techniques for trout, musky, bass, and more. We want to provide truly new, innovative information and viewpoints that push people to fish better and fish differently. Innovative Angling offers guided trips and group clinics on the famous rivers and creeks of Central PA, as well as instructional articles, videos, presentations, and virtual lessons to help anglers across the globe of all skill levels improve their fly fishing game.

What we do

Our focus is on educational trips, primarily teaching beginner to advanced euro nymphing and dry fly tactics for trout. With 15 years of fly fishing experience, 12 of which have been spent competing on the world stage, we have the knowledge to help you learn the sport or improve your game. We also target musky in the winter and bass in the summer to keep things interesting. We offer half and full day walk & wade or float trips on the best fisheries in Pennsylvania. Whether you want to learn new skills, catch the fish of a lifetime, or just have a fun day out on the water, we have the trip for you.

Where we do it

We are based in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, just a few minutes north of Penn State and State College, PA. We run trips on all the famous limestone rivers in the area, including Penns Creek, Spring Creek, Fishing Creek, Bald Eagle Creek, and the Little Juniata River. We also service North-Central Pennsylvania up through Potter County, and the famous spring creeks of South-Central Pa like the Letort and Big Spring Creek.
