About Us

New England Fly Company was founded on a shared conviction: that fly fishing, at its best, is an expression of deep respect for wild fish, for the waters they inhabit, and for the craft that connects us to both.

We believe that fly fishing is more than recreation. It’s stewardship. It’s observation. It’s lifelong learning. And that mindset shapes everything we do, from the quality of the flies we hand tie for custom orders to the way our guides structure a day on the water.

NEFC meets each trip, each river, and each angler with patience, intention and care. All anglers welcome.

What we do

Based in Portland, Maine, NEFC offers guided fly fishing trips, custom order fly collections, and locally designed gifts and apparel.

Full day packages for guided fly fishing trips include a registered Maine guide, guide’s assistant, rod/reel rentals, documentary photo packages, and keepsake fly boxes. We also offer multi-day, half-day, and hourly packages, in addition to fly casting and fly tying instruction.

From the legendary waters of Rangeley, Moosehead Lake, Baxter State Park and Grand Lake Stream to the scenic vacation hubs of Portland, Camden, Rockport, Freeport, and Old Orchard, New England Fly Company will help you target Maine’s most iconic species including brook trout, landlocked salmon, and smallmouth bass.
