Learn to Fly-Fish! Our chapter has taught hundreds of people how to fly fish through our annual beginner classes every spring. Visit the events tab on our website to learn more or visit https://www.nwctu.com/affordable-fly-fishing-class/. Don't have your own fly-rod? No problem! Fly rods and reels come standard with the beginner\'s Fly-Fishing Class enrollment. Our chapter also teaches a beginner\'s course on tying your own flies. Instead of teaching particular flies, we teach by method, so by substituting materials, by the end of the class you\'ll be able to tie thousands of fly patterns. Tools and materials are supplied during the classes, which are held on Saturday afternoons in January, February, March, and April, each year. Our website has a huge library on fishing local rivers and streams in New England and New York including hatch charts, maps, up-to-date and time current forecasts, and more. Our chapter newsletter is published twice a month, except in July and August. Visit our website to sign up for the newsletter. Our chapter meetings are held on the first Tuesday of October, November, January, and March and May at the Northwestern Connecticut Sportsmen\'s Association clubhouse, located on the association property, located at 177 Winsted Norfolk Road(Route 44) in Colebrook, CT. Chapter meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. Visit the events tab on our website for details.
